Thanksgiving Point

We love Thanksgiving Point, especially the gardens. And we love going there with friends and family. Here are some pictures of our latest trip to the gardens with my mom and Karen.

Clark's Primary Scripture

I thought I had 3 little boys until today when Clark said this scripture in primary all by himself and a prayer without help too (he still prays for Nic's brother Brian who has been home from his mission since December, but now he says, "thank you for Brian"). Now I realize how much he's grown up. I am so proud of him.

To Daniel

I just thought I'd jot a quick little blog about our lunch conversation today:

Right now we have on our fridge one picture, and it's of Nic's youngest brother Daniel. I don't know why that's the only picture and I don't know how long it's been there, but the boys noticed it today.

I had just got out of the fridge 3 different things for the boys to eat and Gary kept saying, "don't want it." Usually that statement's followed by, "Give it to Clark" (Clark, who really does eat all of Gary's leftovers). But today, after I asked him what he wanted to eat, he said, "I want to eat Daniel." Clark said, "Gary, we don't eat the people." That encouraged Gary and he repeatedly said, "I want to eat Daniel, PL-EEEEZE!"

Nic's Middle-of-the-Night Swaddle Idea

This little swaddling clip is for my sister Robyn, who months ago asked me to post a swaddling tutorial. It is the best way I've found, ever, to swaddle a baby. Nic discovered it in the middle of the night when I thought he was sound asleep and I was trying to get Kurt in a tight swaddle, but he just kept wiggling out of it. Nic popped up like he had never been sleeping and said, "hand him to me, I just thought of a good way to swaddle."

The muslin aden + anais blankets are the best blankets to use for this swaddle because they are so light and so big. Kurt still sleeps best when we swaddle him at night and he is almost 6 months. It's true that he likes to have his arms free sometimes, but we've found that most nights he is still comforted by being swaddled because when he's swaddled he doesn't nock his binky out with his always moving hands.
